random makeup talk

When I was a little girl, I like to walked by Shu Uemura store at Tunjungan Plaza. Boy, that was long, long time ago. We don't even have Shu counter let alone a store right now in Surabaya. I remember wanting to go in and try on different colors of lipsticks. Hey, like I said, I was a little girl, so my beauty makeup was only a lipstick ;) never got the chance to explore Shu store cause when I finally have the money to buy, they already close :(

During my junior high, The Body Shop was very popular in Indonesia. I don't remember what was my first product from them, but I do remember saving my money to buy their makeup brushes so that I could be a member. I don't know how but I was pretty smart to buy the basic brushes. I got the blush, small eyeshadow, large eyeshadow, lip n a very big powder brushes. Never really use the powder brush though. I also bought some eyeshadows n manicure products. After that comes the hype of Red Earth and Etude.

I was crazy about Red Earth back then while I was in high school. Bought almost everything from them. But now I've throw them all away long time ago. PS: I still have my TBS brushes, use them for my unexpensive makeup ;) I wasn't really crazy about Etude, only bought a couple of blush on and makeup brushes from them.

When I went to Singapore for exchange student, I decided I want to get my long time dream, some Shu Uemura makeup :) read from Cleo magazine and fell in love with Shu's eyeshadow palette for summer, the price was reasonable (for a Shu palette I mean). Went to Shu counter at Tangs. Asked the SA to do my face using the e/s palette and the infamous Glow On blush. Decided to get the blush in M 31E(if I'm not wrong), eyelash curler and the e/s palette. But when the SA told me the price, I almost fainted, there was a mistake stating the price at Cleo. At the end, I didn't get the e/s palette, way too expensive :( I really love the blush though, it gave me a sweet pink flush. But due to my stupidity, I throw the blush away 3 years ago, thinking it maybe ruin :'( haven't bought any Shu blush since then.

Another long time dream for me is to have MAC customized 15 e/s palette. Never really had the courage to take the plunge since it will be kinda expensive. When I was planning to go to USA this year, I've made planned to visit MAC Pro Store at Metairie to buy the palette, but I just bought Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette, not to mention that my e/s has exceeded 50 colors (this may not be a lot for makeup addict, but for a girl who rarely do the makeup due to her schedule, this is A LOT), I decided to get the palette some other time.after all it's not like MAC going away anytime soon :)

Eventhough so, I still determine to built my collection of MAC brushes. I took the advice of another makeup addict and starts slow, buying one at a time cause they surely not cheap. So far I only have 3 standard size n 5 special edition brushes. I'm not trying to get all MAC brushes, just what I need. Still have 5 more brushes to get. Well it's a good think that there's no MAC counter here in Surabaya, or else I would have go crazy and buy them all at once :p

Sorry for the long post and blab around. I only had 2hours of sleep last night, yet I can't sleep right now, got clinic to take care off :)
