I woke up this morning n felt pain when i open my mouth, i immediately thought "oh ow...." when i looked at the mirror, i can see new bumps on my chin, even when tretinoin is still on my face... the first thing tat came to my mind was 'what a big mistake eating those lomie yesterday'... after taking a bath i realized tat yesterday i tried aspirin mask...i do read tat one of the side effect is purging, so glad i only tried it on my chin, nose n area between my eyebrows..i looked above, glad only 1 new pimple...
okay, so now let's talk about aspirin mask..we all know aspirin is a pain killer, we saw ppl drink it in the movie the morning after a night of heavy drinking..but i never ever drink an aspirin in my life, i dun even have it in my house, quite surprising remembering how my parents always stock up on medicine..back on topic, i read about aspirin mask about 3 years ago, but at tat time i dun put much interest in it, mostly coz too lazy to go to e pharmacy n i dun need it back then.. ever since my breakout is back n i'm still on IB due to tretinoin, i wanted to know more about aspirin mask..i have mixed feelings bout this coz sum of e reviews on MUA are good, but e bad reviews, well...really really bad, sum even had chemical burns due to using e mask..
i was helping a friend practicing on a clinic when i realized they sell aspirin, checked e price, about Rp.5500,- for 8 tablets..i thought why not, it's not expensive after all..the one i bought is from Bayer, with green n white packaging...since i only want to try it, i juz used 1 tablet, put it in a plastic zip bag, crush it, pour to my arm then add 2 droplets of water, mixed it until it got e texture of a mask then put it on my chin, nose n between my eyebrows..i left it on for 10mins then i rinse it off..while rinsing i do a circular motion so e beads also acts as a scrub..be sure to crush the tablet till it becomes tiny bity beads, or not it will hurt ur skin..
after rinsing, i could see my blackheads becoming white n larger, like it wants u too extract them..so i took my extraction needle, sterilized it then extract e blackheads...i never see anything like this before..when i use a scrub, deep cleansing mask, i still have difficulties for e blackheads on e centre of my nose, but with this mask, no problem at all..
i forgot to say tat aspirin is acetyl salicylate acid which is a BHA..AHA n BHA is used for acne treatment..in non medical speaking, it help to peels the skin thereso heals e acne faster n reduces e scar's color..but if use too much can cause the thin too be thin...
if u want to try this mask, better start at low dose n try it first on 1 area, dun use it on whole face coz like wat i had, new pimples the next morning..n also use this maximum twice a week, since it is harsh on ur skin..if u want to read more, can google it or juz go to MUA, it is listed under unlisted brand...

end of third week
okay, so i've been wearing a mask to cover my face from e sun n i dun have to wear makeup when i go out..things are getting better until today..for e last 3 days i had to use foundation to cover my acnes n scars coz i had to attend ATLS n cant wear a mask..i use Revlon Colorstay Softlex for combi/oily skin since about a year ago n never had problem with it, but now, my pores are clogged which lead to more new pimples, esp on my chin =((( so sad right now..i thought my chin is getting better but bcoz of long hours of foundation, now i'm back to almost square 1...
still have few pimples on my forehead n cheeks, but better than last week..hopefully my skin will clear up soon, if not, maybe i wont go to jkt =(

update on tretinoin
so this is e end of my second week using Retin A 0.05%.. my first IB has subsided, but i'm having e 2nd purging... my forehead which was clear last week, now having some pustules..used my DDD mask to dry it..my chin still have pustules n i can see e new bumps tat is forming on my cheek..
told bf bout this n he asked is it a good or a bad sign..i said well, i know this is going to happen..let's juz hope it wont last for long...trying to be positive rite now.. still continue to consume vitamins n lotsa water..next week is going to be a hard one..not juz bcoz bf is leaving town, but i have a lot of things to do...

foot reflexology
when i tried a duck restaurant @ Manyar Kertoarjo, i walked pass by a reflexology place, checked e price list n i thought "this is cheap, maybe i'll try 1 day".. yesterday on the way, bf suddenly said "let's have a foot reflexy" i was surprised coz he isnt e massageholic type of person, unlike me..me loves massage, hehe... he wanted to try a place near my house but i said i want to try e one at manyar...
so today we went there..saw e advertisement infront n found out tat they have a Happy Hour price ^^ luckily we came during lunch, hehe... bf wanted to try e thailand/duina massage but at the end decided to try e foot reflexology first..
we chose e place at e back, which only have 2 chairs n it's separated from e others, total privacy =) i asked for a woman n picked a man for bf, which he later regret coz too strong, haha...
first my feet got soak with a warm water n during tat she starts massaging my feet.. then off to e chair, she towelled dry then massaging wit oil while e other foot is wapped wit a dry towel..massage, massage n massage....she asked if e pressure she's giving me is too much but i think it's okay...maybe i've already get used to lotsa pressure due to massaging almost everyday, hehe...
i forget how long she massaged my feet..after tat she get a wet hot towel to clean e remaining oil then massage my back..after e whole massaging she offered me tea, ginger or water to drink..chose ginger n i really really like it...so much better than any other ginger i've ever taste, though bf thinks it's too spicy...
during those enjoyable moment, i managed to ask her bout e place..found out tat they juz open for a few months n tat all e therapist got a 2.5months of training before they start working..they have 8 male n 13 female therapists...asked bout e other type of massage n she said e traditional is using oil while others dun. n tat's why if u're having e traditional, u'll only wear panties n wrapped in a blanket/towel..but for e other types, they provide a pajamas...
well, this is a pleasing thing to do..i'll try e other type next time..maybe even go there wit frenz, most likely ninta, haha...oh yeah, forget to report bout e interior..e ambience is really nice n peaceful, they played sum kind of music tat make u wants to sleep n smells like aromatherapy...really relaxing...

deep cleansing mask
i've know e benefit of deep cleansing mask since years ago, but never find e right one till recently..but first let me mention some benefits of using it. first, just like its name, it deep cleanses your face. it helped to get the nasty junk from beneath the skin to arouse, in which some deep cleansing masks cause breakout due to its purging effect. usually e pimples would subside in a few days n will recover faster than normal pimples. in the other hand, this mask could help in healing acne, especially those that is still in the form of bump. it will help reducing e size n e redness..it can also help to tighten your pores..
one of the most famous mask is from St.Ives, it's a clay mask n blue in color. i forgot wat it called. i've tried it before for a couple of times but everytime i use it i'll get a breakout. i know i said it is normal, but it was different, it didnt recover fast like it should be. i do feel e tightening effect, but it's not worth it so i quit using..another famous one is from Origins Out of Trouble..i havent try it yet but i heard its purging effect is worse than St.Ives, so i think i'll stay away from it..dun want to risk any other breakout...
there's actually lots of skincare brand tat sell deep cleansing mask, but after my experience with St.ives, i really didnt want to try anymore..i thought it was just not for me..until one day i came across a discussion bout new mask from a brand i havent heard before, Formula 10.0.06.. e packaging is simple yet cute n they sell in sachet form so ppl can try before buying e actual size.. i asked my cousin to help me get it from Watsons in spore.. bought 2 sachets, 1 can be use about 4 times..first time using, i was prepared to get stinging/burning sensation, but there was no discomfort at all..i left it on for bout 20mins then i rinse it off...i saw immediate effect, my face was brighter than before n it smells nice =) i do notice i got a few pimples e next morning but it was only around 3 n it heals quickly..
at e end of my first sachet, i had already ask my friends who went to spore to get me e actual size.. eventhough i'm on tret, i still use this mask coz it really helped..my face feels cleaner n looks brighter..i do feel it helped with acne scars too...

my skincare regime...
waiting for bf to finish talking on the phone, so i think i'll do sumthing i like ;P
in order to fight pimples tat kept on coming, i tried to make my regime as simple as i could, but guess it's not tat simple for me, haha...
i've been using Kose Sekkisei Perfect Cleansing Oil for years.. i've tried other brands, but none work as good as this..it removes my makeup completely, including my Majolica Majorca n MAC eyeliner tat is super duper waterproof, hahaha....when i went to japan, i found another Kose cleansing oil but under the name Softymo..it was so cheap, i bought the 200mL refill for 483yen, tat means around 50 thousands rupiah..way cheaper than Sekkisei's.. used it for 4times, so far no problem, cleanse well n no breakout(or none tat i can detect since i'm still on IB for using tret)..
after cleansing oil i always use another cleanse, juz to make sure tat my face is thouroughly clean..for e past year i always use Clean & Clear cleansers( e pore, whitening n acne) but got Clearasil Stayclear Skin Perfecting Wash due to a misunderstanding..i used Clearasil Stayclear toner n really like it so i decided to try e cleanser, after all no one to give it to..i like e smell, it has e same fragrance like e toner..it contains tiny beads so i feel like a mild everyday scrub everytime i use it.. it doesnt dry my face, i dun feel tight at all..but it's only an okay cleanser..
i'm off toner for now..eventhough i really love my Clearasil toner(bought it by coincidence n really like e smell, had to always bother my aunt n cousin to brought it from spore) but everytime i use it, it makes my pimples redder n i hate seeing my face after tat..so i juz make sure i really clean my face hence no need to use toner..
for moisturizer i use Laneige Water Bank Essence..e texture is really light yet it really moisturize my skin..which really help since my skin is hydrated..all this long i always thought i have combination skin which always turns oily in e afternoon but later on i realized tat mine is combi dehydrated..dull n flakey..after using this essence, not so anymore..well i cant say my skin is glowing rite now coz of e breakout but e part of my skin tat is pimple free is really nice. i've said tat i dun use face makeup anymore n only use sunblock n when i see my face in e mirror, those part are presentable..hopefully my skin would be clear soon..n when it does, i wont use foundation except for important events =)
tretinoin is combined with clindamycin, but in my case i use Clyntia which i got from korea n paid bloddy 240thousands rupiah n then realize tat it was juz a clindamycin tat u could get for 40thousands here...well, wat's important is tat it works..e difference is juz tat this one is not as drying as Cindala gel..when i use CIndala, my skin would be flakey, wit this not so much, only e area around my mouth n only a little...
my Olay total effects eyecream is finishing soon n i still dunno wat to try next..my concern is dark circle, fine lines(yes, i do have fine lines at this age, hikss...) n hydration..dun think i'll go back to Loreal derma genesis eyecream though it's quite good, i want to try sumthing new ;)

on the path to get a clear skin
okay so i'm having my fourth weird breakout about a month ago...i called it weird coz i dunno wat causing it..i've eliminate all possible causes, crab n chocolate, hix... n after my trip to japan-korea couple of months ago, i found out tat i'm allergic to chicken, including egg...wat a great thing to be allergic to especially since i love eating omellete so much =(
anyway my skin kept on developing bumps tat turns into pimples no matter wat..i was using Clearasil pimple spot treatment, which i regret so much rite now since my it do is only kept the pimple under my skin n it will resurface a few days later...
i starts to drink lotsa water then..people said u shld drink bout 8glasses of water everyday, well i drink bout 3 times tat amount...it helped a little bit, but still cant stop it..i've been using Retin A 0.025% since april 09, my last breakout, at tat time it worked but i think my skin gotten imune from tat..so i up e dosage into 0.05% since last week..
i totally forget bout tretinoin effect, the horrifying INITIAL BREAKOUT....at the end of the first week my skin started to breakout crazily, especially around my chin =( i was terrified n almost breakdown in cry but after reading testimonial from ppl who uses tretinoin, i decided to continue with it..
eventhough i have decided to continue it, i still have to deal with the IB...good thing my bf left town for a couple of days so i could stay home hiding...had 2 angry spots on my cheek tat ppl would notice from far away...i compressed it with ice cube a couple of times a day, gladly by e time i had to leave home for a computer course those 2 red dot had subsided...
one of the most important thing when using tret is tat u must remember to wear sunblock..n with the blazing sun in surabaya rite now, i feel even my Dior SPF50 sunblock is not enough, so now everytime i go out always wearing a mask..yes, a mask, one like u use when u're having a bad cold or the one u use inside surgery rooms...i know it looks weird here since ppl dun usually use it outside e hospital, but it really usefull n the plus side is i dun have to wear makeup, which is efficient for me rite now, coz my course is at 7am, so early leh.....
