update on skin condition

I just realized that I haven't give the update about my skin after the chemical peeling. Well after a week, my skin didn't peel anymore and it was glowing. So soft and bright, though my acne scars were still there. But I was getting clogged pores everytime I used my DiorSnow sunblock, which made me confused because I've been using this sunblock since two years ago and didn't have any problem with it. After a few days I just realized that I was using a different method to apply it. If before the chempeel I used the method suggested by Dior, which is dotting on index, middle and ring fingers then rub it with the other hand, then apply it to the face, I've been using the sunblock by applying it directly to my face. Guess it was too much.

So I'm back to the whole dotting, rubbing then apply stuff, and my clogged pores are lessen. Now of course I still have some, but unlike before where every day I would get like 5 clogged pores in a day.

I still got comedones, acne scars, and enlarge pores right now. But stop using the Missha perfect cover bb cream really helps with the papules and pusustules forms. Nowadays I'm only wearing sunblock when I go out and some little eye makeup. Hope I could get clear, smooth, acne-free skin soon :)

new name for the blog :)

When I first started this blog, I named it 'Skincare, makeup u name it ;)' I was clueless about names, and just wrote something that came to my mind at that time. An then when I gotten a blackberry, I created a group called Beauty is Pain, or ninta and me just called it BIP. I thought it's a cool name, haha...

After I created the group, I gave a little intro about the name, guess I should do it here, since I've make it my blog name :)

Why do I say beauty is pain? Because it's the truth. We're talking about physical, financial and emotional pain here. Physical such as going through the comedones extraction in order to clear our clogged pores, chemical peeling to get a glowing skin, burning sensation that we experience when we put on our clay masks (well, not all clay masks are like this), etc... Financial in the meaning when we buy expensive products or go for treatments or had our makeup done at the salon. And last but certainly not least (for me it's the most painfull one) if when those products, those treatments and those make overs is not suitable for us, especially if we see expensive products sitting at our dressing table untouched :(

But of course all those painfull experiences doesn't make us stop from trying new skincare products or buy the newest makeup collection. I myself been there, done that, but here I am, still keen on trying new stuff. Well that's maybe true, but that doesn't mean I'll just go around buying stuff. Before I buy something I usually do a research about it, can be from beauty forums (I like cozycot and fashiondaily), makeupalley, other bloggers, or just visit uncle google :)

Well I guess it's quite a long intro for the new name :)
PS: I know I haven't been blogging about makeup, mostly because I'm now blogging with my blackberry and I don't know how to insert a pic. Me such a stupid dung dung, have to read the manual on mobile blogging first ;p

day 6

when I wash my face this morning, I could see some dry skin peeling off, did a circular motion for a several minutes until all the dead skin drops off. But when I put on my sunblock, I still see dry patches on my cheek n jaw. I haven't put on my moisturizer, I'm waiting till my skin is normal again :)

day 5 after chempeel

Okay so my last post mentioned that no more peeling and I'm rather diappointed about it. But I was very surprised today. After I was my face I do feel that my skin is in a very dry state, but only slight dry patches, nothing else. Too my surprise, after I put on my DiorSnow sunblock, I could see lotsa n lotsa dry patches n skin that's peeling away, OMG!!! I was shock. But there's nothing I could do. I couldn't peel it away, even if I want to put on makeup, it'll only make it worse. So I did nothing. If someone asks, I'll just say I just had chemical peeling :)

third day after my chempeel

Yesterday the area around my nose were peeling quite badly. Big ugly skin hanging in front of my nose, didn't peel it cause the doctor said it's better to let it loose by itself. I also had dry patches around my mouth, but the other area none :( only taught feeling.

Well today no peeling :( my nose has clear from any hanging skin. My mouth area still dry but nothing more. I'm still using the anti irritation cream, but I think I'm not going to use it anymore.

Next time I'm going to ask the doctor to give higher concentration or try the non resorcinol peel (don't remember the name)

chemical peeling

I'm still recovering from my nasty breakouts few months ago. I still have pimples, but not as many as before and usually it's in papules form. But since last week I experienced clogged pores. I don't know is it from my Missha Perfect Cover BB cream or not. I always cleanse with Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil follow with a facial cleanser. Tired with clogged pores, papules and my acne scars (my face is full with it, that's why I always wear bb cream/ foundation) I decided to try chemical peeling.

After asking at some beauty clinics and from friends who have done it, I decided to go to Miracle @ Thamrin. Already made an appointment with the doctor, then the next day my dad told me that I have to attend a seminar 2days after my appointment, I was like what?!!! Everyone said after chempeel, better to stay home for about 5days, how could I go out on the second day?? So I cancelled my appointment. After reading at fashiondaily about London Beauty Centre, I decided to go there. Price sure is cheaper than Miracle, testimonials from the customers also good. After all I'm not going to use their creams, only want the treatment.

So yesterday I went there, consulted with the doctor. Not sure is it because the consultation is free, the doctor seems in a hurry. I asked for the Superpeel, since I read it's the most effective in getting rid of dead skincells, but the doctor said Superpeel consists a lot of vitamins, thus not appropriate for my skin (btw my acne was quite a lot coz I've been eating everything since last week), she said Beautypeel is more suitable for my skin. Well she have more experience in this area more than me.

Waited about half an hour before called to the treatment room. The room is quite big, divided into small cubicles. The beautician cleaned my face, I know she had difficulties removing my Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner ;p after that she extract my comedones, ckckckck..I think I really have to cut down on the foundie/ bb cream, my face is full with comedones :( after the painfull extraction, she gave my face a massage with the ozone, it was good, cooling sensation :) next come the mask, she said it'll help with the redness. My face was like a crab, so red, arghhh...I did take pics for my own documentation and she was right, the redness reduced after the mask. Had to wait about half an hour for the doctor to do the peeling. When she put the acid on my face, it does stings a little but it was beareable, what I can't stand is the smell. Then she put the neutralizer and the beautician gave me a little massage. And that was it...

I spend 232 thousands rupiah. 150 for the Beautypeel, 10 for ozone, 30 for the mask and 42 for the anti irritation cream.

It's been 24hours and the redness has gone, my face feel tight. But I do develop some new pimples. My face hasn't starts to peel. I do hope my face qould peel a lot, haha...
