Retin A 0.025% & Mediklin TR

since I'm desperate with my acne, I consulted one of dermatolgy intern via bbm. Told her my condition and she adviced me to use a pH balanced cleanser and the lowest strength of tretinoin followed by a combination between tretinoin and clindamycin. I haven't had time to look for the cleanser, not to mention I'm quite sure we don't have it here in Surabaya, so decided to get the tretinoin-clindamycin since I've Retin A 0.025%.

Right after I got home from my relative's wedding, I removed my makeup (I use a thick layer of foundation tonight to conceal my red dots), I applied Retin A, waited for a few minutes then dotted Mediklin TR on my active pimples.

Mediklin TR is a combination of tretinoin 0.025% and clindamycin 1.2%, even stronger then Cindala Gel that I use every morningg.

So from now my blog would be full with updates of this treatment. My next schedule for chemical peeling is august 9, but I'll decide to go or not depending on my skin condition.

frustrated over acne

The purging from tretinoin hasn't finish. Now both of my cheek are full with red dots. Red, inflamed papules staring back at me everytime I look into the mirror. And to make things worse, I have 2 nodules on my chin, also inflamed. Tried masking it but comes to a fail. Hope I could conceal my pimples, tonight is my cousin's wedding and tomorrow is my bf's birthday

hating myself

I looked in the mirror just now, and I realized my face is worse than before :( I started using Clindamycin and Retin A 0.025% after my second chempeel. I used those products last year and did wonders to my skin. I was expecting the same result, but I'm disappointed right now. My face is covered with red dots from active pimples and the scar T T

Using Paul & Joe Powder Foundation sure helps with the redness, but for the big ones, it turns brown :( luckily this time I only use Retin A as spot treatment. I know that the red dots come from clogged pores so this is purging effect, but after comparing the before and after pics made me so sad and almost slam my desk. Not to mention I just found out another allergen. So sad... And today I'm going to take my passport pic. Hope to look pretty because I'll use it for the next 5 years, arghhhh.....

my journey in becoming makeup addict

I was reading in FD about you know you're a bencong, FD slang for makeup addict, and it made me wonder what's my reason? Certainly not from my mother, if you see her, you'll know what I mean. But to think about it, my very first makeup tools was a pink eyelash curler, which was hers. Then there's the Lancome mascara and pierre cardin lipsticks. And also an eyeshadow palette that I used until I'm in junior high. Hmmm...maybe my mum did love makeup :)

Then there's the complate palette of eyeshadows, blush ons and lipstick, and another one was 4 flavours of lipglosses from my cousin which she bought from japan. I think it was around fifth grade of elementary school. My cousin was surprised when I told her that I still remember those palettes.

And then the collecting of TBS makeup brushes, makeup storage. And my very first traincase when I was on second grade of senior high. It wasn't as big as my current traincase, but for a high school girl, it was enough. It has transparent top and glowing pattern on the bottom, and it was cheap, hehe...

well the rest of the story I've blog a few months ago. My goal right now is collecting eye and cheek products from MAC and Bobbi Brown. Dunno why I'm not interested on any other brands, well 1 or 2 Shu Uemura glow on blush would be okay, hehe...

another allergen T T

I just found out I inherited both of my parents allergies, chicken n peanuts. Yesterday I ate "urap-urap", it consists of coconut, tauge and long beans. And this morning when I woke up I realized 2 new bumps on my left cheek. And the papules on my right cheek and between my eyebrows hasn't subsided :( feel so ugly.

And when I went to the optic to make new glasses, I realized how big my pores are :( changed my mood totally and I wanna go home. But come to think about it, I'm still grateful for my skin condition right now. However my skin is much clearer than few months ago :)

craving for Bobbi Brown

Ever since I got back from US 2moths ago, I've been eyeing more products from Bobbi Brown. I've even think about changing my eyeshadow from MAC to BB. But after a while, I've stop looking at BB's website. Then I'm after Lunasol and Coffret d'Or eyeshadow palettes, I even asked my parents to get it from Qing Dao, which was a total disappointment. At the end I didn't get those palettes.

The past week I've been reading a lot from FD and in the end ordered BB oil free even finish compact foundie. Now I'm eyeing for the pot rouge in Calypso Coral, shimmer brick in Nectar and manya more of eyeshadows and blush ons, hehe... I want to go to singapore to try the BB makeover for SGD 80 totally redeemable for their products.

I'm using eye makeup everyday now, to balance with my post breakout skin (I don't dare to use foundie everyday nor use blushon). The more I do my eye, the more I realized I look better with natural colors. It make me look fresh and glowing :) that's why I think bb would suit me better. Hehe..either it's true or I'm just trying to justify myself :D

day 8

I think my skin is considered as "late bloomer" in the chemical peeling department. When I wash my face this morning at last my skin or I should my dead skin coming off. I did a little (but long) massage, circular motion with the tips of my fingers and saw crumbles of skin, brown n tiny, some are big, haha...really enjoyed doing it. Most of the brown marks from the facial came off leaving 1 brown marks on my right cheek. I still see my skin flaking but nothing I can do about it. I haven't put on moisturizer, maybe I'll put on tomorrow.

But the final effect of this deep peeling is not as great as I'm hoping. Before the process my cheek is quite clear, but after the facial, I'm left with some marks :( not sure am I going for my third chempeel in the next 3 weeks. But I'm sure my bf is going to force me to go...

day fifth

It's been five days after my deep chemical peeling, and still I haven't see much dead skin going off. My face does feel dry and tight, red marks from the extraction, but only the skin around my nose that's peeling.

I'm really hoping for the 'rain' of dead skin, haha... My pimples has dried up except for one on my nose. It blew up yesterday, I squeezed the pus out, but I could feel there's like a skin that cover the pimple so the topical antibiotic can not get through.

Btw I finally order Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish compact foundation travel size. I've been readhing reviews about it, but kept on telling myself that I don't need another foundation, especially because I've been eyeing SK2 Cellumination Essence in cream foundation. But I finally caved in and order the shade 2.5 Warm Sand. Just to know how good it is ;)

my 2nd chempeel

I'm so happy I did my second chemical peeling :D funny right? But I think I'm addicted to chempeel, hehe...

So after filling my stomach with my favorite noodle, well I do need the extra strength to go through the horrible extraction, I went to LBC. After consulting with dr.Risna (the same doctor that I went to the last time) we agreed on doing deep peel today. I also asked for the same beautician that did my peeling last time.

While doing my extraction, she told me that this time my comedones is not as big as before, yay!! Haha...but I do have some pustules that she had to squeezed really hard to get all the pus out and it hurts like hell :'(

Had the ozone too, but this time not the cooling sensation, it was like some electric kind, was quite surprised. I thought dr.risna did my ozone today. after that had the mask for about 15minutes, then comes dr.risna with the chemical.

It stungs worse than the first time, I guess it's because I got some open wounds due to the pustules. Dr.risna left the formula for quiet a while and unlike before, I experienced all the burning sensation, during all that I kept on reminding myself "beauty is pain" haha... She asked me is it hot, I said it's still okay. Then she gave the neutralizer and massaged it into my skin.

Really hope this time there's going to be a lot of peeling. Really like the sensation when I wash my face and feel the dead skin coming off, hehe...

can't wait for my second chempeel

Tomorrow is my schedule for my second chemical peeling at LBC. I'm really excited about it, haha... Just two days before my 25th birthday, my skin was glowing, no pimples, clogged pores reduced. But me so stupid, I started taking one table spoon of extra virgin olive oil to help with my digestion, tried Maybelline Clear Smooth Pressed Powder, ate the birthday cake that I get and my period's coming. Don't know which one is the culprit, but I started getting bumps on my chin since then. Now I got 6 bumps on my chin, arghhh!!!!!

Kept on masking it everytime I'm home. Luckily Revlon Colorstay foundation combined with Paul & Joe powder foundation helped mask the redness. But tomorrow I still have to go to work, that means wearing the Paul & Joe powder foundation again (I'm trying to wear no makeup in order to get good skin).

Gio wants me to get the Bright Peel tomorrow, but I'll consult with the doctor first to know is it suitable for my skin condition or not. Btw I haven't blog my skin pics because even from laptop, I only can upload 2 images, the third one always took forever. Don't know how to make it easier. Any one can help? :)

random stuff & skincare routine

I have a lot of free time now, on and off clinics. When there's no patient, I usually browse around reading about skincare and makeup. Useless said my bf, but what could I say, this is the thing I enjoy doing. I'm thinking about concentrating on my blog, updating it every chances I got. But what make me sad is that I couldn't upload pics directly from my blackbeRry to the blog. Had to register via SMS, I'm afraid my bill is going over the top if I do that. If someone reading my blog and now how to solve this problem, please leave a comment. I really feel my blog is blah without a pic, not to mention the boring design (I haven't had the time browsing for blog design via laptop).

Okay, enough babbling, now onto my skincare routine per July 2010:
AM
Pigeon baby transparant soap
SK2 Facial Clear Lotion
SK2 Facial Treatment Essence
SK2 Whitening DermDefinition
SK2 Lift Emulsion
Acne treatment from doctor or Clindamycin 1% gel (depending on my acne type)
Dior DiorSnow sunblock SPF 50

PM
Kose Softymo Speedy CO
Pigeon baby transparant soap
SK2 Facial Clear Lotion
SK2 Facial Treatment Essence
SK2 Whitening DermDefinition
SK2 Lift Emulsion
Acne treatment from doctor
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair on neck, followed with Laneige Balancing Emulsion (finishing stocks)

Twice a week:
ODBO Peeling Gel
Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox mask
O HUI Aqua Mask for neck

Well that's the products I'm currently using. Quite a long list isn't it? ;p am looking forward for my next chemical peeling, this time I wanna try the Brightening Peel, it's the non resorcinol one. The doctor said not much peeling happening because the process is inside the skin :) must work hard to pay for my beauty routines (I haven't even talk about my makeup wishlist, haha...)

2papules and it's all my fault!!!

I was reading the Kiehl's thread looking for info for their Microdermabrasion Scrub when I stumbled on reviews of the #1 Lipbalm. It reminds me that I haven't finish mine which I bought 2 years ago. So before I went out 2 days ago, I opened my traincase looking for it. Wore it 2 days straight and yesterday when I got home from the clinic I realized there's a new bump on the corner of my lips.

I masked with Formula 10.0.6 all night long, but untill this morning there's no changes. Not just that, when I washed my face, I realized there's another bump right under my lips. Oh that's just great :(

I thought those bumps are because I ate some muffins yesterday, a.k.a eggs. But right before I go out this morning, I realized that I've been using an old product. So I use my The Body Shop lipbalm. Hopefully these bumps would go away even before I realize it :)
